Really great overall experience. Lovely and amazing hotel with amazing location and views of the roof top. Thanks to the polite staff everything was awesome, including a wide range oflovely food. Authentic room, exceptionally comfortable beds, good bathroom. Location right by the Fes maze, the straight center of the medina, and Easy to get to the Blue Gate to see the markets of the Medina...

I got great value for my money at Riad Dar Guennoun. The room was beautifully decorated and the attention to detail was impressive. The location was perfect, just slightly off the center of the medina, making it easy to find and close to a taxi station. The staff treated me like family and were always helpful and generous with their suggestions.
Breakfast option could have been more varied.

We were pleased with the friendliness of the proprietors, who really worked hard to make us feel at home. Also, as we arrived in the off season, we were the only people staying at the building, so we had run of the house, which is quite lovely.
Be aware that they add an additional 5% charge if you choose to pay by credit card. They also prefer that guests pay in hard currency, but unfortunately do not provide any incentives (i.e., discounts) to do so. Also, while food served at Riad Dar Guennoun is good, you can find comparable (or better) meals elsewhere in the city for a significant fraction of the cost.

The hotel's position was particularly good and stunning, not far from the markets of the Medina, Chef Cheuen and Meknes and the Fes maze, very close to a taxi point. The room we stayed in was spotless and beautifully designed with windows down both sides.

We recently stayed at Riad Dar Guennoun for a few nights and it was absolutely fantastic! Adil and his colleagues were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were beautifully designed and spacious, with everything kept spotlessly clean. The staff were always on hand to assist with any questions or requests, and gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat. The location was perfect, right near the entrance of the souk but still quiet. The highlight was definitely the terrace with its incredible view of the Medina and the lively atmosphere. We can't recommend this hidden gem enough and will definitely be returning!
Would highly recommend this hotel.

Myself and my partner had such a great time staying at the Riad Dar Guennoun. As soon as we make the booking through bookings.com we had a phone call immediatley from Miriam (who runs the Riad) to tell us how to get there which really gave us a positive feeling that we chose the right Riad. Once we arrived they had moroccan tea and moroccan sweets ready for us. We stayed in the Junior Suite Sofia which was gorgeous but we looked at all the room as they only have 6 and they were all great. The main points I would say is that you get real personal service, all the staff will do anything they can to make your stay memorable, the food is great, we had dinner in the small restaurant and breakfast on the roof terrace as the weather was nice. So if you are looking for a Traditional Riad with modern touches I would highly reccommend this to anyone.

Very centrally located close to the older Bab Rcif and the newer blue gate that looks somewhat like Bab Boujloud (but it's not). Best way to get to the medina is to get out of the little alley the Riad is located, turn left and then directly right until you reach a little square. Turn left at the square and go down the stairs then follow the main road until you see the newer blue gate.
Take a tour the first day it is very helpful, Fes is a big maze even of you went to other old Arab cities (E.G. Damascus) and you will see funny things (they will try to sell you carpets etc). But then make it clear that you are going on your own for the next days it is possible (noone "jumps" on you)! Also the guide will try to get you seriously lost in Fes by walking through the smallest alleys so don't worry it isn't that hard to get a feel once you are alone. Never take recommendations for restaurants at the hostel - they will only show you expensive tourist traps. Best way to eat in all moroccan cities seems to be outside the medina in the new city (Avenue Hassan ii close to the rail station) so take a cab!

I was pleasantly surprised by the stunning and traditionally Moroccan design of the riad. The location was peaceful and a nice escape from the bustling streets. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with a gorgeous view from the rooftop. I highly recommend this riad for its price and quality.

Miriam is an excellent lady of the house. She made sure that we were happy and comfortable in our room. Very helpful showing us the way to the medina. Breakfast was excellent. Definitely is the place to stay in Fes!
From Omar room we were woken up by the Imam very early every morning. But this is not something to blame the Riad for!

We loved staying in this hotel. The staff was really helpful and friendly. They gave us suggestions for places to eat and visit in this city. We liked that the hotel was located very close to the market, as well as the old town and a petit taxi rank. The transportation here was very convenient. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. we had a great experience.
Nothing, all great.

The hotel was situated on a hill, making it close to everything, including a small taxi station. Its proximity to the market was also convenient. The room and bathroom were comfortable, and the staff provided excellent service, accommodating requests with a smile. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of different choices. The hotel also boasted a beautiful roof terrace, perfect for relaxing.
The hotel lacked a pool or other recreational facilities, limiting entertainment options.

The location of this hotel is perfect, just a minute away from a main street, ensuring safety and easy access without the chaos of the medina. The service provided by the staff was fantastic, with their attention to detail and helpfulness making our stay truly enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable and private, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere after a long day of exploring. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, offering a variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day off right.

I recently had a fantastic stay in a traditional riad in the heart of the Medina. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, meeting us late at night and helping with our bags. The rooms, especially the Juliet Suite, were comfortable and cozy, with windows on both sides allowing for a refreshing breeze to come through. The breakfast, served with a stunning view of the city, was simply delicious.
All in all, our experience at this hotel was fantastic!
